Grammy-nominated recording artist and author Michael Gungor has just been announced as a special guest judge and artist-in-residence for the debut Justice Film Festival happening concurrently with The Justice Conference. Gungor will join an all-star panel of judges who will be presenting awards in the following categories: Best Long Form, Best Short Form, and Best Justice Film. In addition, Gungor will host a special performance and discussion centered around themes from his latest book The Crowd, The Critic, And The Muse for Justice Film registrants only on Friday, February 22 (following the last Justice Conference session). Those who elect to purchase the directors package will also be invited to an exclusive after party with Gungor at Vox-Populi Gallery, one of Philadelphia's most unique creative spaces for visual and performance art. We are pleased to announce a new feature at The Justice Conference this year - we are hosting the first annual Justice Film Festival. The event will include feature films, documentaries and shorts from both well known and emerging filmmakers.
After premiering Blue Like Jazz for a sold out crowd at The Justice Conference in February 2012 we decided this enhancement was a perfect fit with our mission by celebrating filmmakers who are impacting a generation for justice through the medium of film.
We have a top-notch panel of judges who will attend the conference and present awards in the following categories: Best Long Form, Best Short Form, and Best Justice Film.
